ABSTRACT:
This paper identifies the best practices for the implementation, maintenance, and recovery of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 utilizing LCR with an HP StorageWorks EVA. The best practices were based on the findings of extensive testing of an LCR environment supporting 5,000 users with 100-MB mailboxes. This testing identified the changes in server resource utilization with LCR enabled. The LCR testing also explored and validated the physical disk I/O operations of Exchange Server 2007. This paper identifies the HP StorageWorks EVA8000/5000 performance capabilities in an Exchange 2007 LCR environment, along with performance capabilities of the HP ProLiant BL480c Blade Server.
