ABSTRACT:
Phishing began as a nuisance, little more than a new kind of spam. But it has grown to be one of the greater threats to enterprise security and privacy on the landscape. Today, attackers have moved beyond the massive campaigns against eBay and Bank of America to highly targeted attacks, known as spear phishing, against small banks, credit unions and independent companies. New research by the Anti-Phishing Working Group reveals that phishers are targeting more brands than ever, with 178 individual companies being hijacked in November alone. In this video featuring special guest Mike Rothman of consulting firm Security Incite, viewers will get:
- A detailed overview of the spear phishing phenomenon
- Tactics for helping users to avoid suspicious emails
- Practical advice on what to do if your company is compromised
