ABSTRACT:
By 2011, one-third of the world's population--or approximately two billion people--will be Web users. Borders are becoming less important. The world is getting flatter, because barriers to global competition are being lowered. And it can become smarter because we have unprecedented access to information and tools for collaboration. Powering these changes are the Web and Web-enabled applications. The risks are enormous. Because an organization is only as secure as the applications that support it, this IBM white paper outlines the risks surrounding Web applications and reviews four layers of security needed in a strategy for end-to end Web protection.
